Old-world craftsmanship at its finest - reminiscent of ancient frescoes and hand-hewn decorative plastering, this group of unique designs stands out from the crowd. Their translucent qualities play with lighting in unexpected ways, juxtaposing luster against matte, pairing burnished metallic with opaque, layering texture on texture.
A soft crackle - the real thing, not merely a printed imitation - with a delicate overprint evokes the feeling of an antique porcelain vase. An ethereal-looking damask with subtle metallic accents has an opulent luminous quality. For a dramatic effect, a classic scroll or tropical bamboo leaf in a unique raised motif adds a touch of shimmer against an opaque textured background. An interesting irregular stripe with touches of gilt was inspired by a majestic waterfall. The textural and dimensional qualities of Intonaco appeals to multiple sensory perceptions; not only the eye, but touch as well. Such rich patina lends an elegance to these beautiful handcrafted wall treatments.
The color palette of this magnificent collection ranges from warm soft neutrals, antique gold, ochre and terra cotta; to the cooler relaxed hues of silver, pewter and dove grey, Just the right shade of sage green came from nature itself! For a more dramatic effect, shimmery copper, weathered verdigris, spicy cinnabar and royal ruby add a sultry element. Because these patterns are hand-crafted and made to order, custom colorations are also available for the low minimum quantity of 30 linear yards (200 sq. ft.).
