WINFIELD INTRODUCES 'GILDED AGE'
Winfield Design, renowned in the interior design community for their elegant patterns printed on shimmery foil grounds, proudly introduces the GILDED AGE collection. True to its heritage, archival handcrafted texture and signature prints that set the standard for elegant living are presented in a new, fashion-forward color palette.
Character prints, large-scale patterns designed to make a fashion statement include "Dimitri Damask" and "Dimitri Stripe", non-traditional adaptations of a most classic design element. "Leafage" a dramatic collage of ferns, is botanical without being floral. "Embassy" is a fleur-de-lis type element against a horizontal silk textured background. "Oro Caldo" boldly takes on a geometric motif and softens the sharp edges, transforming these shapes into a texture with an attitude. "Argenta" is a heavily grained marble texture, rich in personality. Never intended for the design timid, Winfield has always catered to an uptown clientele.
Elegant textured patterns with a tactile presence such as "Double Silk" and "Textured Foil", or paired with a bold wide "Jupiter Stripe" are appropriate when a background, rather than a design statement, is the desired effect.
The palette of the overprints offers a wide variety of colors ranging from neutral shades of bone, sand, dune and putty, to mellow mid-tones of sage, ocean blue and olive, to deep, dramatic shades of crimson, aubergine, charcoal and midnight. A treasury of precious metals is reflected in the foil grounds - bronze, copper, pewter, silver, gold and platinum. The warm patina they exude virtually illuminates wall surfaces.
